BiographiesDr. J. I. PackerBoard of Governors' Professor, Theology, Regent College, MA, DPhil (Oxford) Dr. James I. Packer was born in Gloucestershire, England, in 1926 and educated at Oxford University (degrees in classics and theology; D. Phil. 1954). Ordained in 1952, he served as assistant minister at St. John's Church in England, Harborne, Birmingham until 1954, and then became Senior Tutor at Tyndale Hall, an Anglican seminary in Bristol, from 1955 to 1961. Then, after nine years as Warden of Latimer House, an Anglican Evangelical study centre in Oxford, he returned to Bristol to become Principal of Tyndale Hall in 1970. When Tyndale Hall merged with two other evangelical colleges to become Trinity College, Bristol, he became Associate Principal: this was in January 1972. In 1979, he became Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology at Regent College, Vancouver, where in 1989 he was installed as the first Sangwoo Youtong Chee Professor of Theology. In 1996 he became Board of Governors' Professor of Theology at Regent College. His biography to 1996 has been written by Alister McGrath. Married with three children, he has preached and lectured widely in Great Britain and America, and is a frequent contributor to theological periodicals. Among his writings are:

The Rev. George SinclairChair, Anglican Network in Canada, Co-Chair, Anglican Essentials Canada George is Rector of St. Alban's Anglican Church in our nation's capital, Ottawa, where he has served for over 11 years. After his ordination in 1985, George was an assistant in a suburban Ottawa parish for three years and then served in a rural four point parish for seven years. George serves as chair of the Anglican Network of Canada. He and his wife Louise just celebrated their 25th anniversary with their nine children and one son-in-law. Dr. Barry ParkerRector of St. Paul's Church, Bloor Street, Toronto Barry holds the formal title of the Reverend Canon Doctor in his role as the Rector or Senior Minister/Pastor of St. Paul's Church. His formal education includes a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) a Masters of Divinity (M.Div.) and a general BA. Barry has a special place in his heart for Alberta and for Firefighters which comes from his tenure as Rector of two Anglican Churches in Alberta, as well as early professional years as a Paramedic and Firefighter in Alberta and Ontario. As Rector, Barry focuses on four primary ministry areas – leading, preaching, teaching and connecting with the diverse communities served by St. Paul’s Bloor Street. His natural bent for bridge-building into these communities includes the Bloor Street local area, the Greater Toronto Area, and the international Anglican Communion. As part of connecting to the community he has the privilege of serving as a Chaplain for South Command, Toronto Fire Services (TFS). He also teaches at Wycliffe College and at Tyndale Seminary. Barry is active in the current leadership of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto.
