Hi. My name is John Lofstedt and I am about to complete a two-year, full-time internship with Artizo at St. Alban’s Anglican Church in Ottawa. My years of training with Artizo have involved a range of activities – from preaching and Bible Study to pastoral care and work with all age groups. The skills acquired and experiences had are priceless resources that can only aid me in my future ministry. Artizo has allowed me to lead others in the exploration of Christian Ethics, how to read the Bible as well as a challenging look at the book of Ecclesiastes. Partnering with others in college & career ministry as well as starting a ministry to young parents have been highlights of my internship. As I complete the Artizo Program you can pray that myself and the other Artizo graduates can find opportunities to apply what we have learned and that we can continue to grow into effective ministers of the Gospel. Also, please pray that Artizo would continue to be a place where young leaders can receive ministry training and that new ministry leaders would partner with Artizo to increase the locations where training can occur.Download a prayer update in .pdf format

John's biography |
John Lofstedt is from New Hampshire, U.S.A. via the rural town of Otterburne, Manitoba. Educated in NH as a Physical Geographer, God called John to Canada to pursue Master's work in Christian Studies at Providence Seminary. He now lives in Ottawa with his wife, Jocelyn, a 'special' cat named Malachi, and their son Elliot (Born Sept. 6th, 2008). As an Artizo Intern, John has enjoyed growing as a future minister of the Gospel through preaching, teaching and pastoral care. He also enjoys good food, following his beloved Boston sports teams (Go Sox, Celts, and Pats!), wrestling his baby and shovelling out the church after 40 cm of snow. | |
