Regent College lecturer Polly Long says:
"It's easy to under-estimate what it takes to equip the church to live 'Christianly'. The principles of how to read the Word, learn it deeply, and communicate that clearly are skills that the church desperately needs, and our world desperately needs the church equipped. Regent, aware of this, requires students to do a practicum, and Artizo fills that requirement very well. The students who choose to become interns with Artizo are top notch students. They want to learn as much as they can in order to be as faithful as possible in teaching the Bible. With more tools in their tool box, the Lord can use them in more and more ways. It not only sharpens their abilities, but expands their possibilities as kingdom servants. The church is desperate for the message of the Bible to be taught by respecting the text and opening it up to make it clear. Artizo aims to hone this skill. Artizo interns get to practice, interact, and have it reinforced. Artizo equips the saints."

Jim Salladin, a recently ordained Anglican minister says:
"When I went to Regent College, my peers at Regent told me that their internship was exclusively task oriented, without mentoring or extra teaching. My Artizo internship experience was different. Our Rector, David Short, would spend one hour with us each week. He would tell us what it means to be a successful pastor, where the 'engine room' of ministry is. He would share with us what he learned from preparing the sermon for that week and he would also help us engage in the same way with the text. Each week during the one-on-one meetings with my trainer, I was rigorously challenged on theology and how to live it out. Over the course of my internship, my beliefs began to be formed by these mentoring sessions and coaching sessions. I was challenged to read the scripture in a way that's unprecedented, carefully reading the scripture, not being satisfied with extracting 'nice thoughts', but reading it rigorously and correctly to achieve deep understanding. I learned to be able to perceive God's Word, receive it, articulate it and teach people how to do the same. I'm of the conviction that ministry happens in the context of relationship and real people. With Artizo, you're not just preaching a sermon to a congregation, or coming in and out of leading a small group, but you are part of that congregation. And you learn to love the people. Artizo invites us into a big Gospel, a big plan of the world."

The Artizo Institute trains able, faithful, innovative and confident gospel ministers to know and understand the Bible, lead effectively, proclaim the gospel, and be able to train others to do the same. Artizo prepares young leaders for full-time ministry by allowing them to serve the body of Christ in their local church with experienced gospel ministers as mentors.
"Maturity in Christ, and usefulness for Christ are the gains that the Artizo program offers to Christian young men and women. I am enthusiatic about this program. Already, I can see Artizo alumni standing out as leaders."

Canon Dr. James I. Packer
Director of Anglican Studies Program at Regent College
